Beihang University (BUAA), was founded in 1952 and is China’s first university of aerospace technology. Through 60 years of development, BUAA is one of the top universities in China, has grown into a science and technology university with aerospace features, combining disciplines in science, engineering, liberal arts, law, economics, management and education. Doctoral programs are available in 49 fields, master programs in 144 fields and bachelor programs in 57 subjects.

BUAA is one of the few universities in China which uses English as its primary language of instruction for all international master and doctoral programs, as well as some of its bachelor programs. More than 6000 students from over 80 countries have been enrolled in BUAA, including more than 1000 doctoral and master candidates. The Beihang Scholarship was established in 2007 to encourage and support the coming of excellent international students to BUAA.
