About

Directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education (MOE), supported by MOE and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), is a national key university built preferentially in the national Project 211, also one of 985 innovation platform for superiority subject. BUPT is a comprehensive university with information and telecommunication technology as its main feature, engineering and science as its main focus and a combination of engineering, management, humanities and sciences as its main pursuit, which becomes an important base for fostering high-tech talents.

BUPT has 11 schools, three research institutes and one center on Marxism teaching and research. The eleven schools are School of Information and Telecommunications Engineering, School of Electronic Engineering, School of Computer Science, School of Automation Engineering, School of Software Engineering, School of Economics and Management, School of Humanities, School of Science, International School, School of Network Education, and School of Ethnic Minority Education. The three research institutes are Institute of Network Technology, Institute of Optical Communication and Photoelectron and Institute of Sensing Technology and Business.
